UK Acquired Brain Injury Forum
The United Kingdom Acquired Brain Injury Forum (UKABIF) is a membership organisation and charity which aims to promote the understanding of all aspects of acquired brain injury. The organisation was established in 1998 by a coalition of organisations working in the field of acquired brain injury who wished to improve awareness of ABI through education and information.

Disclosure and Barring Service
The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) helps employers make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups, including children. It replaces the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA). DBS is an executive non-departmental public body, sponsored by the Home Office.


Alzheimers Society
The Alzheimers Society are leading the fight against dementia. Dementia is a term used to describe various different brain disorders that have in common a loss of brain function that is usually progressive and eventually severe. There are many types of dementia, the most common are Alzheimers disease, vascular dementia and dementia with Lewy bodies.
